Great work great price, the owner has been in business since taking over for his father. Theyre an original Burbank business with integrity!
Came here on the recommendation of a co-worker. Just bought another Grand Marquis and the blend door outdent work, all i got was hot air. Steve quoted me a fair price (on the Grand Marquis you need to remove the dash) and got it done faster than expected. He even took the time to dismantle the old part to show me what went wrong. Good price, quality parts and work--I'll be back for sure.
Steve is the man! My AC stopped working, and I took my car in expecting a huge, expensive fix. Steve quickly figured out that I'd just need a system flush/recharge, and showed me exactly what was wrong. He also charged me less than another shop had quoted me for the same thing. Very honest and knowledgeable mechanic.
Steve is the man with a plan. He fixed my BMW X3 and honestly explained every single detail on how he fixed. I was recommend by a friend to come to this shop. This is my second time coming here and I will continue to come because his prices are reasonable and he is an honest person.
I bought a radiator in the past from these guys and I just took my Subaru in to see what was up with the over heating issue. Blown head gasket. Don't buy a Subaru btw!! Oh well. He felt bad for me and didn't even charge me for the work he did. This is a great shop. Honest guys. They know their stuff and do good work.
I was flushing the cooling system on my Italian motorcycle when the drain Bolt of my radiator came out with all the threads attached. This left me with a large hole in the bottom of one of the tanks. I removed it and brought it here and Steve explained my options to repair it. He took care of the problem and gave me the radiator back the next day. The repair has been working great. Saved over $300 by repairing this instead of buying a new one.
I brought in my BMW X5 because my radiator was leaking. I brought it into Pepboys who said they can't fix it and took it to another mechanic who said it's going to be a couple thousand dollars. I was worried about this problem and kept needing to add coolant every two days. Then I took it to Steve who I noticed had very good reviews. Steve first said that this was going to be a very big job and it was going to be expensive. He said he will take a look and give me a quote the next day. The next day I got a call saying it was an easy job and that he needed to replace a few parts and the hose. Steve then said it should be about 200 dollars which I was thrilled because I thought it was going to be a couple thousand dollars. Steve fixed my radiator in no time. Steve is honest, friendly, professional, and has very cheap prices compared to other mechanics. I don't know why another review had one star and said he was dishonest, but to me Steve is the best mechanic in the LA County.
Steve is as good or better that his reviews. Take your car here in complete confidence. I was going to get rid of my '65 Cutlass because no one could solve the overheating problem. I can't tell you how much I spent at other places trying to get this fixed. (Really, I can't tell you. Every time I think about it I get gassy. Don't ask.)
Steve fixed it! And, at a reasonable price. No more being stranded while it cools down - or radiator geysers of antifreeze. Some of what the other guys did might have helped a little? But Steve fixed it! Done. And, he went out of his way to get the parts. It's fun to drive again! Plus, I can take the kids in it because we actually get where we are going. Will never go anywhere else!
Steve is an expert and a fair professional. Worked on my RV and has been running cool ever since. I recommend him to everyone of my friends
Came to Burbank Radiator after being quoted an extremely high rate at another mechanic. Took my car and fixed everything for a 4th of the price as the other guys! Car now runs great and even has a 3 year warranty.
I would recommend this shop to anyone and will be back if I ever have cooling or radiator issues again!
I've been coming to Steve at burbank radiator for years! Best way to describe this place and Steve in one word is GENUINE. The sad reality of most automotive shops nowadays are people who just replace parts. No skills, training or knowledge of what they are working with. Steve at burbank radiator is a true mechanic and automotive doctor. Not a lot of places break down and repair radiators anymore. Dipping, tanking, brazing, re-coring... all a thing of the past as the greats disappear. Steve carries on this true craftsmanship here! Anything relating to gas tanks, radiators, AC systems he knows inside and out. And he gets the job done and doesn't make up phony issues for more. If it's a simple fix it's done, if it's complex, it's done. I send anyone I know to him and they are all satisfied. He has done more than 8 radiators for me and each one looks perfect when he's done. He can remove and install or you can bring it to him. Most my radiators were from cars from 1930s all the way up to my 2003 truck!
This place has been there since the 50s and there is a reason. The Quality is unmatched!
Thanks Steve for all your hard work to make all my projects run cool!
Great job. Steve helped me find what was wrong with my radiator and I was lucky enough that he had a replacement part (which otherwise might have been extremely difficult to find). Didn't try to overcharge me, even though I would have been pretty stuck. I would come back if and when necessary.
I've been coming to Burbank Radiator for years. Steve is the best! Honest, fair, and always willing to take the time to explain things. Thanks, Steve!
My wife noticed steam coming from under the hood of her car. Having not had any heating/cooling difficulties in many years I checked the internet and found Burbank Radiator Service nearby.
Steve C., Owner and Chief Mechanic, quickly diagnosed the problem - the radiator top had a small crack. The repair consisted of replacing the old radiator, thermostat, and upper and lower radiator hoses. The 1/3/2017 repair went very well and the radiator continues to do its job.
I discovered that Burbank Radiator Service has been continuously in business since 1953 and owned by Steve C. since 1994. Steve C. answered all my questions in depth, exhibiting courtesy and patience, while displaying superior technical knowledge of this needed repair. When finished, he showed me the removed parts and their deteriorated condition.
If you need you need automobile heating and/or cooling services at a fair, non inflated, accurately estimated price, I recommend going to Burbank Radiator Service.
My Mercury SUV needed a new radiator and Steve did a great job for a really fair price. Now I'm driving with a brand new radiator and my a/c feels as cold as a polar bear breath!! I absolute recommend Burbank Radiator.
The absolute BEST!
The radiator in my 1968 Cadillac Coupe deVille has been leaking for quite awhile. Been calling shops all over to see if anyone REPAIRS radiators. (My car has a HUGE 472 c.u. motor and it produces major power...and HEAT, so I didn't want plastic-tank crap or aluminum. I want what my car came with...good old American brass and copper!) The ONLY one who said yes was Steve at Burbank Radiator. (Every other shop wanted to replace, not repair). So I took the car to Steve and he pulled the radiator, took the tanks off, ordered the parts, replaced the core, replaced my lower radiator hose, flushed the system, even painted the radiator tanks after the welding...looks like a brand-new 1968 Cadillac radiator! He kept the old core to show me how badly corroded it was! He tested the whole system, then called me and told me my car was ready. Took it in Monday, Picked it up on Tuesday! (He had to order the core and lower hose...not many places stock stuff for a 68 Caddy!) Just AMAZING! AND...he gave me a five year warranty! And at a very VERY reasonable price!
Picked up the car and drove it for an hour...during the 103* heat wave...with the a/c on high...bumper-to-bumper traffic on the streets, freeway at 80 mph...back on the streets...uphills...and the gauge never went over the 1/4 mark! It has never run this cool, even in the winter, for the 7 or so years I've owned it! And it hasn't leaked a single drop since! Thank you Steve!
I'm gonna have you check out my A/C next! ;)
My Dad turned me on to Burbank Radiator Service-who doesn't trust their Dad? My first impression is that Steve, the owner is very honest which is rare now a days!! I've been in to see him a couple of times, and he always looks for the least expensive solution. Highly recommended. You can't go wrong here!
Steve found a problem with my air conditioning that no one else could and did not charge me arm and a leg to fix it. The dealer wanted to take apart my dashboard and just look for $960! Plus, Steve called me a few days later to make sure everything was still working properly. I would recommend this place without hesitation. Thanks, Steve!
Got my radiator repaired here, 7/6/16. I had called SEVERAL places and all the quotes I received were well over $350. Steve, the owner, not only quoted me a price less than $300, but I ended up paying even less because I paid in cash. He had ordered the part ahead of time, and had my job done in about 4 hours! Steve is a really friendly guy, KNOWS his craft, and definitely is an HONEST businessman, and willing to to his best for his customers! He even phoned me as a follow up to make sure the truck was working ok?? Who does that??? Steve does! I know that I have found my "go-to" for any radiator/air-conditioning work on a car! THANK YOU STEVE!
As so many radiators in modern cars are plastic and disposable, most radiator shops have become remove and replace shops while Burbank Radiator is still runs by competent tradesmen. Steve did such a great job repairing a 1948 Chevy gas tank with brazed patches, I did not hesitate to have him address the AC on my truck the next day. Very happy I found Burbank Radiator and would not want to go anywhere else.
I needed a waterpump in my truck , he gave me a great price and I also had my truck back the same day . I have referred friends , which were all very happy with his work. He's very professional & knowledgeable. I continue to go to him , for even oil changes. The only mechanic that I trust . He's the BEST!!!
Fact:
Bob Smith Toyota quoted me $259.99 for radiator plus $250.00 labor. 05 Corolla XRS/Manual Trans.
Burbank Radiator who only deal in Auto Cooling Systems and are experts charged me $237.00 out the door with a 5 yr warranty.
This small business easily competes with
Toyota and Im all about helping our small businesses when possible.
Great guy Steve. does great work and stands behind it! I highly recommend.

Holy Hell this is a GREAT mechanic. My Dad recommended this place to me and I was still blown away by the honesty and integrity of this shop. Steve, the owner took a look at my Honda CRV and talked me OUT of unneeded repairs that EZ Lube had just recommended earlier that morning while performing my oil change, telling me I was better off saving my money. The dude literally took hundreds of dollars out of his pocket! He chuckled, looked at me and said "You must think I'm a crazy person." No Steve. I think you are a marketing genius because I have already told about a hundred people this story and am now posting it on Yelp for all to see.
Not only did Steve show me what was needed and was honest with the repair, his price was very fair-a total of $40. I WILL BE GOING BACK TO HIM FOREVER!
If you need a Radiator/Air Conditioning mechanic who will diagnosis your problem accurately, explain it simply, fix your car right in the shortest amount of time, not cheat you or overcharge you or perform unnecessary work or tell you he's going to perform work and charge you and not actually do it then you need to go to BURBANK RADIATOR.
Steve is incredibly honest and helpful. He also gets the job done well and quick. Highly recommend him, don't got to anyone else for A/C troubles! Avoid the Pep Boys on Olive, very dishonest.
For anyone looking for an honest guy this is the place to go. I brought my car for AC repair and was ready to pay. He look and tweak something and said there was nothing wrong with the AC. Others will charge me even if there is no real repair done.
Took my car there for AC service! Steve the owner was cordial and knowledgeable. He was able to diagnose the problem and get the correct parts. When I picked up my car the AC was working great and has worked great ever since. I support independent business like these! Thumbs up!
Went a year without A/C and with summer starting again, it was time to bite the bullet. I initially got a quote from Steve and was not charged. I tried another shop looking for a quote knowing the issue since Steve already told me. That cost me $70 and in total was $200 more than what Steve had quoted me. I finally got my car back over to Burbank Radiator. It took a few tries with a wiring issue. Not Steve's fault, but he fixed it, and fixed it again. Good, honest and friendly, and knows what he's doing. I hope i dont have to see him again, but I would recommend anyone with A/C issues to go see Steve.
Steve the owner of Burbank Radiator shop is the best, he's very honest, knows his stuff and gets the job done
I take all my cars to him and I highly recommend going there for radiator or AC repairs.
Steve at Burbank Radiator Service has that old school customer service. Which you don't find these days.. I was very happy with the workmanship in the repair of my radiator.. Highly reccomended... Will use him on all my cars...
A friend had a good experience and recommended it. They were able to mend his radiator without replacing it. I wasn't so lucky. Still, honest guys and great prices. I will definitely use them again.
Wow, the place is great and I would recommend it to anyone. Steve is upfront and honest.
I trust all my cars and trucks (foreign and domestic) to Steve at Burbank Radiator because he gets the job done right. I live in Santa Barbara but it's totally worth the 170 mile round trip. He takes care of his customers. I've been very pleased with his service, reasonable estimates and attention to detail. Thanks Steve!
Amazing. Wonderful, honest service at this shop. Steve is very nice. He tells you straight up what the problem is and he sees what he can do for you. He told me exactly the breakdown of the cost and was able to give me back my car the same day. They were also nice enough to give me a ride home. I am very pleased.
Took my BMW X-5 to Steve and he diagnosed the problem as a simple relief valve that needed replacing. I would have paid for a whole new radiator if told that is what I needed. Steve replaced the valve and put in new anti-freeze for the cost of a dinner. I always take my car here for radiator service and have never been disappointed in service or price. Steve is very honest and helpful.
i used to work at nbc n steve was recommended by a friend there who said he is their "Go To" guy for any radiator issues for their fleet of microwave vans. he's described by another nbc friend as "completely honest." not only is that true, but he even did some "extras" which anyone else would have charged for. when you pick up your car, he even shows you what he did and explains everything in the process. nbc stands by him and so should you.
Before Yelp was on the Internet there was "word of mouth". I have been referring my customers, friends and family members to Steve at Burbank Radiator since 1998.
It all started when I was driving my 1972 (Mod Squad Yellow) Mustang and the Air-conditioning just decided to stop working in the middle of a very hot summer. I took the car to 3-4 places around the Burbank area. They all said the same thing. "You need a new compressor" The estimates for repair were between a minimum of 750 to 1,100 dollars.
Then I took the car to Steve. After spending a few minutes with the car he discovered what other mechanics could not or did not find. It was a simple pin hole leak in one of the hoses. Steve's charge? It was under 70 dollars! He replaced the hose, filled her back up, the A/C worked amazingly well and he saved me hundreds of dollars.
I have been back to Steve with several other cars all with the same result. Quality work, honesty and integrity at great prices!
I have been using Burbank Radiator for years! (They do more than just radiators) They keep my 67 Dodge cool, calm and collected. I will soon see them again for fuel line/tank servicing.
You will find old-school integrity, pride of ownership and work and a great customer service ethic here. They back their word and their work, above and beyond. Great to know there are still businesses like this, they are a rare commodity today!
This is an honest American business. Steve is the owner and primary mechanic. He does an excellent job at an honest price and I was extremely happy with the service. He saved me more than half what one of the bigger shops was quoting, was easier to work with and actually replaced my radiator faster than they would have. I couldn't more strongly recommend Burbank radiator.
Taken 4 radiators here never a problem
Thanks
Don't go anywhere else! Steve (the owner/tech) is absolutely wonderful - so knowledgable and honest, friendly and helpful. I know cars well as I have a classic Buick, and used to play with rock crawlers and bikes, but no longer have a garage space in which to work, so finding Steve and Burbank Radiator was perfect. He very straightforward about cost and what was needed, and even called me to let me know he could repair rather than replace my radiator, saving me some $$$. He found a few extra problems a previous mechanic had created (they used baling wire on my car fan shroud!!!). and kept them from damaging my newly repaired radiator, as well as throwing in a few details that kept me worry free. He also worked on my A/C in the past and was a pleasure to deal with then as well. Anytime I move to a new area I look for that network of car guys who do it for the love of big American V8 muscle, those beautiful classics, big nasty race engines, motorcycles and 4x4's, because those are the guys who will treat you and your car right. Steve, you are one of those guys. Thank you!
